MicroTFP Print Chip

At the heart of PrecisionCore is our next-generation MicroTFP print chip. This print chip is modular and can be arrayed in various print head configurations. This scalability enables the quality and precision that Epson is renowned for, in products ranging from desktop printers to large-scale industrial systems.

Outstanding Speed and Output Quality

Based on thin film piezo (TFP) technology, Epson’s MicroTFP PrecisionCore print chip offers vastly improved performance compared with conventional piezo print heads. This includes higher speed and more accurate dot placement. Thin film piezo actuators, which act as pumps that fire drops of ink, are just 1 micron thin and can precisely control the droplet shape and volume at a rate of up to 50,000 times a second per nozzle. Delivering minute detail at incredible speed with unbeatable image quality.
